There is a big void up top at Real Madrid right now, after Karim Benzema left the club at the end of last season in order to join Al-Ittihad. The move came almost out of the blue as initial expectations were that he would stay on at Santiago Bernabeu for another campaign, by extending his contract. Now, Los Blancos are without a world-class striker.

They have brought in Joselu on a season-long loan from Espanyol. With all due respect to the Spanish international, it feels like he would be more suited to the role of a back up striker for Real Madrid.

There have been rumours of a move for Kylian Mbappe. But things have gone a bit quiet in that regard over the past few weeks and signing the Frenchman this summer is looking increasingly difficult.

Under these circumstances, the club might have to look elsewhere if they want to sign a world-class striker this summer. And it looks like Dusan Vlahovic is a player in their sights.

As reported by Libero (via Tutto Juve), Ancelotti likes Vlahovic a lot, and Juventus would be willing to part ways with him, even if not for less than €80 million. The two clubs could talk about it closely in early August, when they face each other in a friendly match in the United States.

Vlahovic was signed by Juventus from Fiorentina for a transfer fee believed to be around €81 million. Things have not gone according to plan for the Serbian striker in Turin though.

Of course, a lot of that might be down to being at the right place but at the wrong time. Massimiliano Allegri’s style of play does not suit a striker like him. It is hard to see Real Madrid shelling out an €80 million fee to sign Vlahovic though.
