There seems to be a good chance now that Kylian Mbappe could end up at Real Madrid this summer. Al-Hilal were believed to have made a world record €300 million bid to PSG for the French World Cup winner, but it has emerged that he has turned the chance down and wants to remain in Europe at this point of his career.

Thus, Real Madrid appear to be the favourites to sign Mbappe from here. Whether he leaves PSG this summer or the next one remains to be seen.

On the other hand, it looks like PSG have set their sights on one of Real Madrid’s transfer targets as well. That player is none other than Rasmus Hojlund.

Hojlund is a striker that Real Madrid have been linked with numerous times in the past. But it looks like PSG and Manchester United are the two clubs in the race to sign him from Atalanta this summer.

As reported by The Athletic, PSG have made a €50 million bid for Hojlund. Atalanta have high expectations but the French champions will walk away if the offer is not accepted. On the other hand, Manchester United have made a verbal offer of €50 million plus another €10 million in add-ons for the Danish striker.

Hojlund might not have the most eye-catching numbers in Europe right now, but he is certainly amongst the most highly-rated young strikers on the continent. That is pretty clear from the level of the clubs interested in signing him.

Someone like Hojlund would have ticked a lot of boxes that Real Madrid look for when signing a player these days. But at this point of time, a move to Santiago Bernabeu seems very unlikely, even though Los Blancos are in need of a striker right now.
