The summer transfer window has already been a very interesting one for Real Madrid. They have signed four new players in the form of Jude Bellingham, Arda Guler, Fran Garcia and Joselu. All of them have the potential to be very good signings for the club. At the same time though, there is a cloud over Santiago Bernabeu. And it is in the shape of Kylian Mbappe.

Real Madrid have been linked with a move for Mbappe for years now. It has seemed close at times, but the transfer has not materialised yet.

PSG seem to be keen to part ways with Mbappe this summer, which has never been the case in the past. Will Real Madrid make a move for him though? Or will they prefer to wait a year and try to sign him as a free agent?

Real Madrid are not the only club interested in the Frenchman. As reported by the Mirror, Liverpool have entered talks with PSG over a loan move for Mbappe.

Liverpool are believed to be open to a one-year loan deal for Mbappe. Such a move could solve a lot of problems at once.

It would get Mbappe out of Paris. It would allow PSG to bring in a loan fee, which is at least better than seeing the Frenchman stay on and walk out for nothing a year later. Liverpool would get one of the biggest names in the game, even if for one season. And the player would also have the opportunity to complete a free transfer to Real Madrid next summer.

Thus, a loan move to Liverpool makes quite a lot of sense on paper for all parties involved. Now, it remains to be seen if it ends up happening.
