Fabrizio Romano hands Kylian Mbappe boost to Real Madrid

At this point in time, it is very hard to predict what the future holds for Kylian Mbappe. There are rumours that link him with a move to Real Madrid, which will surprise absolutely nobody. But then, he has been linked with the likes of Liverpool as well. And with PSG looking to part ways with the Frenchman this summer, nothing can be ruled out.

Rumours broke out recently that Liverpool were considering making a loan move for Mbappe this summer. That would allow PSG to part ways with him and land a loan fee. On the other hand, the player would still have the chance to join Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer.

On paper, a loan move to Liverpool makes quite a bit of sense, if the Reds are indeed interested in signing Mbappe on a temporary basis. Could it actually happen though?

While speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano said that PSG would be really to find a solution with an English club. But at the moment, they feel that Mbappe wants to go to Real Madrid and no other destination.

For years, Mbappe has seemed destined for a move to Real Madrid. It looked very close last year before he unexpectedly signed a contract extension with PSG.

Now though, it looks like the Mbappe to Real Madrid saga is finally closing in on completion. The Frenchman looks almost certain to end up at Santiago Bernabeu. What remains to be seen is whether the move will happen this summer or the next one.

Of course, if there is one thing that we have learned from the long-running Mbappe saga, it is that nothing should be taken for granted. Until we see him holding up the Real Madrid shirt, anything is possible.
