It is no secret that Real Madrid are lacking options up front at this point in time, following the exit of Karim Benzema. Joselu is the only experienced striker that the club have right now and he is only on a season-long loan from Espanyol. The only other recognised centre-forward in the squad is 19-year-old, Alvaro Rodriguez.

Carlo Ancelotti has even tried a 4-4-2 formation in pre-season this time around, with Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo playing as a duo up top. That does not feel ideal though, as both perform better when on the wings.

So, Real Madrid could definitely do with a centre-forward right now. They have been linked with plenty of strikers in recent months as well although it does not look like they have made a serious move for any of them yet.

Dusan Vlahovic is someone who has been linked on and off with Real Madrid for months. But Chelsea are now looking like his most likely destination.

As tweeted out by Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are now back in talks with Juventus through intermediaries. A swap deal between Romelu Lukaku and Vlahovic has been discussed again.

On the other hand, as reported by GianlucaDiMarzio.com, Chelsea have opened up to the inclusion of Vlahovic in the transfer of Lukaku to Juventus. However, there is still no agreement on the economic terms of the deal.

It remains to be seen whether such a move ends up happening. Chelsea are believed to be very keen on parting ways with Lukaku this summer but nothing has transpired yet. At the same time, the Blues could do with another option at striker as well.

On the other hand, if Juventus are to sign Lukaku, they would have to part ways with Vlahovic first. Thus, a swap deal could make sense for both parties.
