Inter Milan agree deal to sign Real Madrid wonderkid

Real Madrid do not have a great record when it comes to promoting their brightest youth stars into the senior team. Of course, it is not the easiest task when you consider the pressure at Santiago Bernabeu to win every game. But then, it has led to several of the club’s best youngsters leaving in search of playing time.

This summer, Carlos Dotor has joined Celta Vigo on a permanent basis while Rafa Marin has signed for Alaves on loan. Sergio Arribas is expected to leave as well.

And now, it looks like another one of Real Madrid’s highly-rated youngsters is headed out of Santiago Bernabeu. In his case, Inter Milan seems to be the destination.

As reported by GianlucaDiMarzio.com, Inter Milan have signed Hugo Humanes Gomez from Real Madrid. He arrives on a permanent basis and will join the Primavera side.

Gomez is a striker and he is just 16 years of age. He has been at Real Madrid since 2014 but appears to have decided to bring an end to his journey in the Spanish capital and head to Inter Milan instead.

Chances of breaking into the senior team in the future might be much higher at Inter Milan than they would be at Real Madrid. And this is an area that Los Blancos need to be working on.

Real Madrid have not been able to give enough chances to their best youth stars at the senior level, even when they have impressed at Castilla. It is remarkable that a player like Marin has not even made his debut yet.

Instead, the club have found much more success by letting the youngsters join other clubs and bringing them back later. Dani Carvajal is a perfect example. They brought back Fran Garcia this summer as well.
