It looks like Real Madrid have pulled off another transfer masterstroke by signing Jude Bellingham. It might have taken the Englishman just one game to answer all the critics. He found the back of the net superbly in the club’s La Liga opener against Athletic Bilbao and was a standout during pre-season as well.

Bellingham seems to have established himself as a starter in Carlo Ancelotti’s team straight off the bat. Yet, that should not come as a surprise to fans.

After all, Bellingham is coming off a Bundesliga Player of the Season win with Borussia Dortmund. He was still 19 years of age when the 2022/23 campaign ended. That’s the level of talent we are talking about here.

Yet, there are suggestions that Borussia Dortmund players are glad that Bellingham left the club. And it appears to be down to the Englishman’s attitude.

Why Borussia Dortmund players are happy Bellingham left for Real Madrid

As reported by BILD (via Express), Borussia Dortmund players were growing tired of Bellingham’s behaviour. It seems that his former teammates are glad with his departure. It is claimed that he craved being the centre of attention and questions have been raised about his leadership qualities as well.

To be honest, things appear to be completely the opposite at Real Madrid. In fact, Bellingham has been praised for the attitude that he has showcased in the dressing room since coming in.

It remains to be seen how things play out for him at Santiago Bernabeu. These are still early days for Bellingham in the Spanish capital. But he could go on to be a stalwart in the middle of the park for Real Madrid for years to come. He is already showing exceptional quality and is only expected to get better as he gains more experience. It is easy to forget that he is still just 20.
