Real Madrid have been handed a couple of injury blows recently. Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao have both torn their ACLs. Two of the most important parts of this squad, they could be out for the entirety of the 2023/24 campaign. Thus, the club need to find replacements. Los Blancos have moved quickly and secured the signing of Kepa Arrizabalaga on a season-long loan from Chelsea. It remains to be seen whether they sign a centre-back as well.

Amidst all this, one cannot forget that the club required a striker as well. That was viewed as the pressing need by most fans before the recent injuries to Courtois and Militao.

Karim Benzema left in the summer, leaving a massive void up top. Joselu has been brought in on loan from Espanyol but he seems more suited to a backup role.

Real Madrid need a world-class striker to replace Benzema. Could another Frenchman be the solution to their problems?

€80 million striker has been offered to Real Madrid

As reported by El Debate, Randal Kolo Muani has been offered to Real Madrid by his agent. It is said that the French forward is glued to the door for a possible call from the Santiago Bernabeu.

Kolo Muani currently plays for Eintracht Frankfurt and the club are believed to rate him at a transfer fee north of €80 million. A bit of an unknown not too long ago, the Frenchman is coming off an exceptional 2022/23 campaign.

He was part of France’s World Cup squad, which finished runners-up in the competition to Argentina. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he scored 23 goals and provided 17 assists in 46 appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt last season.

Thus, Kolo Muani is equally adept at both scoring and setting up his teammates. And that is exactly the kind of striker Real Madrid need in order to replace Benzema.
