Real Madrid interested in signing Arsenal defender
Real Madrid are in need of another centre-back right now. Eder Militao suffered a potentially season-ending injury in the first game of the 2023/24 campaign, as he tore his ACL away at San Mames against Atheltic Bilbao. With the Brazilian out of action for the foreseeable future, Carlo Ancelotti has Antonio Rudiger, Nacho and David Alaba as his options at centre-back.
It also looks like Marvel has been promoted from Castilla. And the 20-year-old could serve as the fourth centre-back in the absence of Militao, even though he has never made a senior appearance.
Under ideal circumstances, Real Madrid would go out and sign another centre-back. And it looks like they have one player in their sights.
As reported by the Daily Mail (via The Sun), there is a “genuine interest” from Real Madrid over a transfer for Gabriel Magalhaes.

Gabriel is 25 years of age and currently plays for Arsenal. He is highly rated at the London club, even though he was left out of the starting XI for their season-opener against Nottingham Forest.
It is also believed that he is happy with life at Arsenal. Thus, all things considered, it might be difficult for Los Blancos to make a move happen this summer.
At the same time though, Real Madrid are not just another club. The chance to play for Los Blancos does not come around often. So, it would be interesting to see what Gabriel would do if the opportunity did present itself to the Brazilian.
Someone like Gabriel would be a solid addition for Real Madrid. He would add some youth to the Real Madrid backline as well. It is worth pointing out that Rudiger, Nacho, Alaba and Dani Carvajal are all past 30 years of age and in the latter stages of their careers.
