Real Madrid have built up quite a reputation for identifying and signing some of the best young talents from around the world and developing them into superstars at Santiago Bernabeu. Names like Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, Eduardo Camavinga and Fede Valverde all fall under this category. This summer, they appear to have brought in another super talent in the form of Arda Guler. Big things are expected from the Turkish wonderkid.
Real Madrid have been linked with plenty of other highly-rated youngsters in recent times as well. Mohammed Kudus of Ajax is someone who falls under that category.
Kudus has impressed for Ajax and was a standout at the 2022 World Cup for the Ghana national team, scoring a couple of goals. Thus, it is not hard to see why he might have caught the eye of Real Madrid.
The 23-year-old leaving Ajax is a very real possibility this summer. But it looks like his most likely destination is the Premier League.
€42 million transfer bid submitted for Real Madrid target
As tweeted out by Fabrizio Romano, West Ham United have submitted a new formal transfer bid for Kudus in the last 24 hours. It is a package worth €42 million. But Ajax have rejected the proposal out of hand. They have no intention to accept those conditions.
Kudus is a big talent without a doubt. But at this point in time, despite the past links, it is hard to see Real Madrid make a move for him.
They are absolutely stacked when it comes to the number 10 position. Jude Bellingham has established himself as the undisputed starter there, just two games into the season. On the other hand, the likes of Guler and Brahim Diaz are capable of playing there as well. Of course, Kudus can play on the right wing as well, which is an area where Los Blancos could do with some reinforcements in.
