It does not seem likely that Real Madrid will make any more additions to their squad before the summer transfer window closes. Fans are concerned with the lack of depth, especially with the long list of injured players as well. But despite that, the club seem to be content with the options available to them. That does not mean that a few could not head out over the coming week.

There are a few players at Real Madrid right now, who seem to be completely out of Carlo Ancelotti’s first-team plans. For them, leaving might be the best step forward, rather than sitting on the bench or in the reserves.

One player who most definitely falls under that category is Reinier Jesus. The Brazilian was signed as a teenager from Flamengo for a €30 million transfer fee.

While Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo have developed into stars, Reinier’s career has not gotten off the ground. He has struggled on loan spells at Borussia Dortmund and Girona. Now, could a spell in Greece lie in his future?

As reported by UOL, PAOK are interested in signing Reinier. He looks set for another loan spell. The Greek club has already started the first contacts, but has not yet submitted any official offer.

Let’s see what the future holds for Reinier. Staying at Real Madrid will not do him any good. He needs to be playing regular football at 21 years of age and chances of doing that at Santiago Bernabeu are slim to none.

A club like PAOK might be the perfect place for him to find his feet at the senior level. He still has a contract with Real Madrid until the summer of 2026. So, there is still some hope that he could revitalise his career in the Spanish capital.
