Worrying update on Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr’s injury

Real Madrid’s victory over Celta Vigo was somewhat spoiled by Vinicius Junior’s injury early in the game. The Brazilian forward went down holding his hamstring in the 13th minute. Although he tried to carry on after that, he ultimately could not for much longer and was taken off the field in the 18th minute.

Los Blancos went on to win the game as Jude Bellingham proved to be their saviour once again. The Englishman scored the winner and the only goal of the game.

Real Madrid currently sit at the top of the La Liga table with three wins in three games. But Vinicius’ injury might make the mood a bit dull in the dressing room.

The Brazilian is seen by many as the face of the club after Karim Benzema’s departure. Thus, Real Madrid fans are hoping that the injury is nothing serious.

Initially, suggestions were that the injury was not anything serious and Vinicius would be back in action soon. Now though, the situation seems to be a bit different.

As tweeted out by Sergio Quirante, there is still no final diagnosis. But the feelings in Valdebebas with Vini’s injury are not as positive as yesterday after the first examination.

Thus, it looks like Vinicius’ injury might be more serious than it was first thought to be. If he is out for any considerable length of time, Carlo Ancelotti will have to make changes to his plans. The Brazilian is a definite problem for any defence in the world, which surely will be missed by Los Blancos for the time being.

Real Madrid are already without a proper striker as they have not signed anyone in order to replace Benzema, bringing in Joselu on loan for the season. Right now, one can only hope that Vinicius is not out for any considerable length of time.
