Real Madrid are a team in reinforcements. They did not have much depth in several positions across the pitch to begin with. And on top of that, they have a long injury list to deal with as well. All things considered, this is not a position the club would have hoped to find themselves in. Yet, worryingly for the fans, it does not seem like they are planning to make any further signings this summer.

They have brought in Jude Bellingham, Arda Guler and Fran Garcia while Joselu and Kepa Arrizabalaga have arrived on season-long loan deals. That simply might not be enough over the course of the season, especially as fatigue and fitness issues start to take their toll in the latter portion of the campaign.

One player who Real Madrid have been linked with for a long time now is Benjamin Pavard of Bayern Munich. But it looks like they have missed out on their opportunity to sign him.

As tweeted out by Fabrizio Romano, Pavard to Inter has gotten the here we go. The green light from Bayern Munich has arrived as a €30 million deal plus €2 million add-ons will be sealed.

Pavard is someone who could have been a solid addition to this Real Madrid team. He has the ability to play both as a right-back and a centre-back.

Those are two areas where Real Madrid could do with more options. Eder Militao picked up a potentially season-ending injury in the very first match of the campaign, as he tore his ACL. On the other hand, Dani Carvajal is clearly no longer the player that he was at his peak.

A €32 million transfer package for Pavard seems entirely justified. He is a World Cup winner with France, a Champions League winner with Bayern Munich and in his prime at just 27 years of age.
