Kylian Mbappe’s Instagram post adds to Real Madrid rumours

Kylian Mbappe’s recent Instagram story seems to have given more hope to Real Madrid fans that a move to Santiago Bernabeu could be in the works on a day when rumours of him inching closer to a move to the Spanish capital have been doing the rounds of social media. Is there substance to it or just people reading too much into a simple post?

The transfer saga has been going on for years and yet continues to dominate the headlines every summer. Not too long ago, a move to Santiago Bernabeu looked inevitable for Mbappe but the situation changed drastically and he was integrated back into the PSG squad.

There was even talk that he could be open to signing a contract extension. On the other hand, Carlo Ancelotti has publicly ruled out a move for Mbappe this summer. And yet, the rumours refuse to go away.

As reported by MARCA, Mbappe shared a song on his Instagram story, titled ‘Special’, by Dave in collaboration with Tiakola. At first glance, this might seem nothing out of the ordinary but interestingly first lines of the song say: “I’m a Top Boy, expensive signing like Moisés Caicedo in London.”

Tiakola, one of the singers of ‘Special’, reposted Mbappe’s story. He accompanied it with the emoji of a white heart, something that many Real Madrid fans are viewing as a potential hint.

All these combined to add to the speculation regarding a potential move to Real Madrid. Do all these cryptic messages point towards the French superstar’s move to Santiago Bernabeu finally taking shape?

Only time shall tell. It is more than likely though that it is just a matter of fans reading too much into things and getting five from adding two and two.
