Major twist as Real Madrid legend set to join Sevilla
The summer transfer window might be over but there are still twists and turns when it comes to the future of players. Of course, Real Madrid seem to be content with the squad that they have, despite the lack of depth in several positions across the pitch. But that is not the case with every club in La Liga.
Sevilla currently find themselves in sitting at 20th in the La Liga table after losing all three of their games till now. The UEFA Europa League triumph papered over the cracks for them last season, but it is quite clear that the club are in a great position right now.
Amidst all this, it looks like Sevilla might be looking towards the past. And one Real Madrid legend might make a comeback to the club whose youth ranks he came through.
As tweeted out by Fabrizio Romano, Sergio Ramos to Sevilla has gotten the ‘here we go’. The verbal agreement has been reached on a short-term deal despite there being proposals on the table from Al Ittihad and Turkish clubs too.

Ramos came through the youth ranks at Sevilla. He also got his first taste of senior football with the club before making the move to Real Madrid back in 2005.
Ramos would go on to spend 16 glorious years at Real Madrid and also went on to become one of the most successful captains in the club’s history. He would ultimately leave when his contract ran out and joined PSG in 2021.
Even hours ago, the expectation was that Ramos would either end up Al-Ittihad, reuniting with Karim Benzema, or in Turkey. But it seems that the Real Madrid icon is set to make a return to Spain and join his boyhood club.
