Real Madrid and Brazilian players seem like a match made in heaven more now than ever before. The next generation of Selecao stars like Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Eder Militao arrived at Santiago Bernabeu as youngsters and have turned out to be prominent starters for both club and country.

It does not end there. Endrick will arrive at the club in 2024 after a €60 million transfer deal was agreed for him last year. Reinier recently left on loan. On the other hand, Vinicius Tobias is on loan at Castilla.

In the past, superstars like Marcelo and Casemiro also arrived as youngsters and left the club as legends. Their names are already etched in the Los Blancos’ history books.

Vinicius and Rodrygo both took part in last year’s World Cup. The former even scored a goal in the Round of 16 matchup against South Korea. Unfortunately for the latter, he missed an important penalty kick against Croatia.

Selecao superstar Neymar recently praised the Real Madrid duo. With the 31-year-old seemingly in the twilight of his career, having recently joined Al Hilal, both Vini and Rodrygo are tipped to succeed him in the national team.

As reported by AS, Neymar gave an interview to Globo’s Esporte Espectacular, and when asked if he believes Vinicius and Rodrygo have the capacity to assume the leadership that the 31-year-old now has in Brazil, the Al Hilal player said:

"“I see it. Vini and Rodrygo are two players with a lot of quality, two stars who will surely take on this role. In my opinion, they already are, because they already have that name, regardless of whether I am there or not. I have never been a selfish guy, on the contrary, the more protagonists you have on your team, the better your team will be. I am happy that they are reaching this level, that they are already at this level and are helping the Brazilian team, which is very important. They are two boys that I really like. Vini and Rodrygo are two friends, I talk a lot with both of them. I hope I can help.”"

It is good to see that Neymar views the Real Madrid duo in such great light. Hopefully, they will continue to grow and develop.

Rodrygo was called up to feature for the Brazilian national team in the international break. But unfortunately, Vini won’t be joining the squad because of his injury due to which he is expected to remain out of action for around a month more.
