Real Madrid have brought in some of the most highly-rated young players from around the world while they are still teenagers. The plan is clear. They want to sign them before they reach their full potential and develop them into starters at Santiago Bernabeu. This strategy has worked brilliantly for some while on occasion, it has not. That is only natural.

Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo and Fede Valverde were all signed as teenagers who had never played in Europe, and they have gone on to become first-team regulars for Real Madrid. On the other hand, a similar move for Reinier Jesus has not worked out till now.

Another highly-rated teenager Real Madrid agreed a deal for late last year is Endrick. The Palmeiras youngster had earned comparisons with the likes of Ronaldo Nazario and is considered by many as the biggest talent to come out of Brazilian football since Neymar.

Real Madrid agreed a €60 million transfer package to sign Endrick. He will arrive next year when he turns 18. But there already seem to be concerns growing at Real Madrid.

As reported by Madrid Universal, Endrick’s lack of game-time is causing some concerns at Real Madrid. The club hoped to see him play regular football in Brazil before arriving in the Spanish capital. They are also worried about some of the treatment that the 17-year-old receives from his opponents.

It was in a recent match against Corinthians that Endrick was on the end of a heavy tackle. Fortunately, it did not end up causing any injury.

Endrick had made a brilliant start to life at the senior level. But he has faced difficulties finding the back of the net in recent times. That has led to him losing his place in the starting XI. Right now, he is mostly being used as a substitute or not at all.
