The summer transfer window might be over but Real Madrid continue to be linked with players. One of them is Alphonso Davies of Bayern Munich. There are rumours that he is on Los Blancos’ list of potential future signings. The Canadian’s current contract runs out in the summer of 2025 and that means he could be available for a bargain fee in the near future if no new deal is agreed between the player and the Bundesliga champions.

Davies would be a brilliant signing for Real Madrid. The club have signed Fran Garcia this summer. But on the other hand, Ferland Mendy is expected to leave soon.

Of course, a lot will depend on what Davies decides to do regarding his future. One would hope that he is attracted by the idea of playing for Real Madrid.

There appears to be a potential update on the situation. And it certainly feels like a positive one for Real Madrid fans hoping to see Davies in the Royal White jersey in the future.

Davies reportedly already spoke to Real Madrid player

As tweeted out by MadridXtra, Jose Felix Diaz said:

"“Supposedly, Alphonso Davies has already spoken with a Real Madrid player. It takes little thinking to know with who.”"

Of course, Davies has a former teammate at Real Madrid in the form of David Alaba. It would be wrong to make any assumptions or reach any conclusions based on just that though.

It remains to be seen how things play out in the Davies transfer saga over the coming months. We are just at the start of the season and there is still some way to go before the summer of 2024.

It has felt like Davies’ career has not progressed the way it was expected to when he took European football by storm in his breakout campaign with Bayern Munich. So, a change of scenery could serve him well. And there are few views more beautiful than Santiago Bernabeu.
