Real Madrid are always on the lookout for the next big talent in football. Their strategy of signing wonderkids and developing them at Santiago Bernabeu has served them very well in recent years. Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo and Fede Valverde all arrived as relatively unknown teenagers and have gone on to become regular starters.

Real Madrid have a good record when it comes to Brazilian talents. Vinicius and Rodrygo look like stalwarts of the present and the future. A €60 million deal for Endrick has already been agreed as well and he is set to arrive from Palmeiras next year.

Another player Real Madrid have been linked with is Corinthians’ 17-year-old midfielder, Gabriel Moscardo. He has earned comparisons with club icon Casemiro, so it is not hard to understand why Los Blancos would be interested in the Brazilian wonderkid. They are not the only club after his signature though.

As reported by GOAL, Barcelona made an inquiry for Moscardo. Corinthians refused a proposal that could reach €25 million, including a fixed and variable part, from Chelsea. Both clubs remain interested in the player.

In the past, there have been rumours that Real Madrid scouts have had an eye on Moscardo. And that would not be a surprise. Now, it remains to be seen if they make an offer for him in the future.

It is believed that Corinthians would want a transfer fee in the region of €30 million in order to part ways with Moscardo. If the Brazilian youngster is able to fulfil his potential then that would look like a bargain in the long run.

But there is always a risk when it comes to signing teenagers. The signings of Vinicius and Rodrygo have proven to be success stories. At the same time, one cannot forget Reinier Jesus and how it has turned out for him in the Spanish capital.
