PSG want €100 million Real Madrid player to replace Kylian Mbappe
Kylian Mbappe’s future at PSG remains a topic of discussion. Despite all the speculation and rumours surrounding the Frenchman, he is yet to sign a contract extension with the Ligue 1 champions. As things stand, he will become a free agent next summer and can start discussing deals with other clubs from January. Unsurprisingly, the Real Madrid links have not been far away.
If Mbappe does end up leaving PSG, Real Madrid is his most likely destination. The Frenchman has been linked with a switch to the Spanish capital for years now. He is believed to have grown up as a fan of the club and Cristiano Ronaldo.
PSG are believed to be keen on agreeing a new deal with Mbappe. But if they fail, they would need to replace him. The club have already lost two superstars in the form of Lionel Messi and Neymar.
Interestingly, it looks like they might try to sign a Real Madrid player as a potential replacement for Mbappe. Now, it remains to be seen how things play out.
PSG want €100 million Real Madrid player to replace Mbappe
As reported by todofichajes, Rodrygo is a player being considered by PSG and is a very popular option to replace Mbappe. Intermediaries are already probing the Brazilian’s surroundings to assess his willingness to negotiate his departure for the summer of 2024.
Rodrygo is a starter for Real Madrid right now. He has shown the ability to rise up to the plate on the big occasions. But the Brazilian is yet to show that he can produce the goods throughout the course of the season, something Vinicius Jr has done for the past two campaigns. Instead, the 22-year-old seems to be someone who has spurts of great form but then has long spells where he struggles as well.
With Karim Benzema no longer at the club and Vinicius out injured, this should have been Rodrygo’s time to shine. He has not exactly done that till now. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 1 goal and provided no assists in 5 appearances this season till now.
There are suggestions that if an offer around €100 million came in and Rodrygo wanted to leave, Real Madrid would not turn it down. Now, let’s see if PSG make a move in the future.
