Real Madrid are no doubt assembling one of the most formidable squads in Europe for the future. The team is loaded with world-class players all over, with the club looking to build around stars like Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Eduardo Camavinga, Jude Bellingham and more. There are however a few gaps in the backline that could need some filling.
Specifically, the full-back positions are brought into question. Dani Carvajal is not getting any younger and so far Fran Garcia has had an up-and-down start to the season.
These questions could cause Real Madrid to begin looking at full-back options for the club’s future, And Los Blancos could have their eyes set on one of the top young full-backs in Europe.
As reported by Relevo, Real Madrid does not lose sight of the situation of Alphonso Davies. The player knows that Los Blancos hold him in high esteem and could take a step towards them if the economic conditions were advantageous.
Bayern Munich player open to signing for Real Madrid
Davies is a player who has been linked with Real Madrid for a while now. The Canadian international has less than two years left on his contract at Bayern Munich, and it remains to be seen if the Spanish giants end up making an offer for him in the future or not.
Davies is believed to be valued at a transfer fee around €70 million. So a potential move would not be simple for Real Madrid but not impossible either.
Thomas Tuchel already has a replacement for Davies in the squad with Raphael Guerreiro, who joined in the summer. The Canadian’s current deal runs till the summer of 2025 and while Bayern Munich are believed to be keen on handing him an extension, nothing has been agreed yet.
Davies is regarded as one of if not the best young left-back in the game. He is also one of the fastest players across all of Europe. However, it would be interesting to see if his play style would transfer to La Liga, where teams tend to sit in deep against teams like Real Madrid.
