Jamie Carragher wants Real Madrid superstar to join Liverpool
Liverpool have been linked with quite a few Real Madrid players in recent times. When they needed a midfield rebuild over the summer, both Aurelien Tchouameni and Fede Valverde were believed to be of interest to Jurgen Klopp’s side. Lately, rumours have suggested that they have an eye on Rodrygo as a possible replacement for Mohamed Salah, if he does leave for Al-Ittihad in the future.
Another player whom Liverpool were being heavily linked with not too long ago is Jude Bellingham. In fact, the Reds were believed to be the favourites to sign the Englishman.
Ultimately that move did not materialise and Bellingham ended up at Real Madrid. And since arriving in the Spanish capital, he has proven himself to be one of the best in the world.
Bellingham has scored six goals in six games for Real Madrid including multiple late winners. And many believe that he is destined to win the Ballon d’Or in the future after seeing the start he has made in the Royal White jersey.
Jamie Carragher wants Real Madrid superstar to join Liverpool
Carragher does not seem to have given up hope of seeing Bellingham playing for Liverpool one day. As reported by The Sun, he said while speaking on CBS Sports:
"“He’s not going to stay there (Real Madrid) his whole career is he?”"
He further went on to say about the matter:
"“It’s probably hard to leave Madrid if I’m being totally honest.“But at some stage you think if he’s the best player in England and one of England’s greatest ever players, which I think he will become, I think he’s going to sample the Premier League.“Because he’s been at Birmingham, he’s gone to Borussia Dortmund, he’s gone to Real Madrid – I’m sure at some stage you want to play in the Premier League…“And where better than Liverpool? The six-times Champions League winners.”"
Now, it is possible that Bellingham could leave Real Madrid at some point in the future. He is from England. We have seen stalwarts like Raphael Varane and Casemiro make the move to the Premier League in recent years.
But do not expect Bellingham to leave Real Madrid anytime in the near future. The way he is performing, it feels like he is set to spend the majority of his career playing for the Spanish giants. And maybe he could leave the club when he is approaching 30 years of age or even beyond it.
