Real Madrid will take on Atletico Madrid away at the Metropolitano Stadium this weekend. This is their toughest test of the season till now. While Carlo Ancelotti’s side are in much better form, Diego Simeone’s side are always tough opposition, especially on derby day. So, this is expected to be a tight game between two of Spain’s best teams.

One player who is expected to play a central role against Atletico this time around is Jude Bellingham. This is set to be his first Madrid Derby.

Real Madrid fans have been handed a scare before the weekend’s big game though. As reported by AS, Bellingham withdrew from training due to a stomach problem. The good news is that the club’s medical services ensure his presence both in the last session before the match and in Sunday’s derby.

Thus, it looks like he is expected to play. One has to wonder though if Bellingham would be a hundred percent and at the top of his game this weekend.

Bellingham has been the star man for Real Madrid this season. He has been almost unplayable at times.

Not only is he playing at a very high level but he has had a major impact on the results of games. The Englishman has scored six goals in as many appearances for Real Madrid till now. And a number of those have been late winners when it looked like Los Blancos were set to drop points.

Thus, fans would be hoping to see Bellingham at his best when they take to the Metropolitano pitch to take on Atletico Madrid. Considering the English international’s form since joining Los Blancos, it would not be a surprise if he does crop up with the winner this weekend as well.
