Real Madrid are struggling with fitness problems again this season much like the last one. There have already been a number of injuries to key players in the team and many believe the campaign might potentially be set up for failure already. Los Blancos already had a bit of a thin squad to begin with and the expanding list of players on the sidelines has just made things worse.
One place in particular where the squad was already thin is the forward line. After injuries to Vinicius Junior and Arda Guler early on, Real Madrid were left with just three fit players capable of occupying the two forward roles – Rodrygo, Joselu and Brahim Diaz.
Real Madrid are going to need to get their injured players back fit as soon as possible if they want to compete with the very best domestically and in Europe this season. And those wishes could soon be answered.
As reported by AS, Guler has already exercised with the rest of his teammates. And Vinicius has returned to training with the squad as well.
Real Madrid double boost as injured duo make return
The news of the duo returning to training hands a much-needed boost to Real Madrid. It looks like Carlo Ancelotti will soon have more of his squad available to help with rotation and fatigue worries.
Guler suffered an injury while on the pre-season tour of the United States and has yet to even feature for Los Blancos. After undergoing an operation, the youngster has been working towards a comeback, with Real Madrid fans excited to finally see what the Turkish wonderkid can bring to the team.
The other big news is regarding Vinicius. The Brazilian was injured last month in the game against Celta Vigo. This is a major boost for Real Madrid, as he is arguably the best player on the team and his presence has clearly been missed in the weeks that he has been out injured.
