Real Madrid have done a fantastic job when it comes to identifying the right talents and then signing him. That is easier said than done. Just look at how things have turned out for Chelsea since their change in ownership. They have signed one player after another but other than Enzo Fernandez, it is hard to think of another signing that has really convinced since arriving at Stamford Bridge. As a result, they are struggling to even break into the Premier League top ten.

Real Madrid have gone in the opposite direction. They have not signed many players. But most of the signings that they have made have worked out.

Aurelien Tchouameni falls under that category. The Frenchman had an inconsistent debut campaign with Real Madrid but is playing at a high level this season, now that he has a settled role in the team.

Real Madrid were not the only club that wanted to sign Tchouameni though. As tweeted out by Madrid Zone, the French international told Canal+:

"“PSG? Frankly I thought about it. It’s a very big European club, we want the French clubs to succeed. But honestly, when Real Madrid calls you, it’s very complicated to say no.”"

Fortunately, Tchouameni ended up at Real Madrid. He was heavily linked with a move away in the summer but Los Blancos never seemed to lose faith in his abilities and it has paid off spectacularly.

Tchouameni seems to be a big part of Real Madrid’s future alongside the likes of Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga and more. The club might have their core for the next decade already in place.

Now, it is important that Tchouameni continues to perform at this level throughout the season. He had made a very bright start to life in the Spanish capital in the previous campaign as well but his form dipped considerably after the World Cup. He has to make sure something similar does not happen this time around.
