Real Madrid player ruled out for at least one month

Real Madrid have had to constantly deal with injuries for quite some time now. That was the case last season as well but things appear to be worse this time around. Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao might not even return to action in this campaign after tearing their ACLs. It was only recently that Vinicius Jr returned to the pitch after more than a month out. Ferland Mendy and Dani Ceballos have had their issues. And David Alaba got injured against Las Palmas.

One player we have not even gotten the chance to see in action for Real Madrid is Arda Guler. The Turkish wonderkid was signed in the summer from Fenerbahce when it had looked like he was close to joining FC Barcelona.

It was considered as a major coup for Real Madrid and Guler caused waves in his first training sessions with the club, as it looked like Carlo Ancelotti had a special talent on his hands.

Unfortunately, Guler suffered a meniscus injury in pre-season itself and had to undergo surgery. He had returned to training recently but has now suffered a muscle injury, prolonging the fans’ wait to see him debut for the club.

As reported by AS, Guler will not debut for Real Madrid for at least a month. His return cannot be planned until the end of October or the beginning of November.

Guler’s injury history might start to worry Real Madrid already. This is his second injury since arriving before he has even played a minute for the club. He had a fair few issues while at Fenerbahce as well.

There is no doubt about Guler’s talent. But at the same time, it will also be important for him to remain fit and injury-free to fulfil the potential he has.
