Real Madrid are in need of a striker right now. Joselu needs to be commended for how well he has done. He has proven a lot of people wrong and is showing that he is capable of leading the line for Los Blancos. But the fact remains that the Spaniard is the only centre-forward at the club right now. They cannot expect him to play every three days and continue performing like this throughout the campaign.

Another club in need of a striker right now are Chelsea. It has been a familiar story for the Blues once again this season. They are creating chances but struggling to finish them off. As a result, they find themselves hovering over the relegation zone.

Thus, both clubs might look for a new striker in the near future. And it looks like they have a common transfer target.

As reported by Defensa Central (via The Hard Tackle), Chelsea have drawn up a two-man striker shortlist. It features Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko. Both are also wanted by Real Madrid.

There is not much left to say about Osimhen. He is one of the top strikers in Europe right now. Sesko is the more interesting of the two names though.

Sesko has been scoring a goal every 55 minutes for RB Leipzig since joining them in the summer. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 5 goals in 274 minutes of action for the Bundesliga club till now.

That is a very good rate for a player who is only 20 years of age. It is also worth mentioning that he has started just twice for RB Leipzig till now.

Signing Sesko would be a major risk for Chelsea as they need someone more proven at the moment. On the other hand, someone who could cover for Joselu with long-term potential to be a starter might be perfect for Real Madrid right now.
