Lionel Messi wants Inter Miami to sign Real Madrid player
Lionel Messi is someone who Real Madrid fans won’t be very fond of. After all, he came through La Masia and spent the majority of his career playing for FC Barcelona. That included a number of goals, assists and wins against Los Blancos. But everybody can respect the fact that he is one of the greatest players of all time, arguably the very best after his World Cup win last year.
Messi is no longer playing in Europe though, having moved to Inter Miami after the end of last season. His arrival has certainly managed to capture the imagination of the public in the United States and the MLS seems to be bigger than ever now.
Of course, Messi is not the only player who has joined Inter Miami recently. The likes of Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets have as well. And could David Beckham’s side have another all-time legend in their sights, this time one from Real Madrid?
As reported by the Mirror, Messi believes that Inter Miami should add Luka Modric to their ranks as former Real Madrid forward Pedja Mijatovic said in an interview with Cadena SER:
"“Messi himself has personally been interested in the possibility. In Croatia, a few days ago, Modric met Beckham, where they were eating.”"

Of course, Beckham was pictured together with Modric back in late August. The reason was not clear. But many had tried to put two and two together.
It remains to be seen if Modric does end up at Inter Miami in the future. The possibility cannot be ruled out as it looks like his time at Real Madrid is nearing its end.
For the first time in more than a decade, Modric is no longer a starter for Real Madrid. He has only started in three games this season and was not even brought off the bench in their previous two matches. The end certainly looks very near.
