Real Madrid eye €50 million move for 22-year-old striker
Firstly, Joselu deserves immense credit for how good he has been for Real Madrid this season. Most fans expected him to struggle and yet, he has delivered whenever given the chance, proving a lot of people wrong along the way. He certainly deserves a run in the first-team based on his current form.
That being said, Joselu is the only centre-forward that Real Madrid have right now. Naturally, they could do with another option up top in the future.
The club have been linked with a variety of names in recent weeks and months. Now, it looks like another one has been added to that quickly growing list.
As reported by Fichajes, Real Madrid are interested in Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez. The Mexican striker has made quite the impact for the Eredivisie side, catching the eye of clubs across Europe. If Los Blancos want to sign him they will have to put an offer of €50 million on the table.

Gimenez was a key part of Feyenoord’s Eredivisie-winning team last time around and he has been in unbelievable form for the Dutch club this season. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 10 goals and provided 2 assists in 8 appearances in the 2023/24 campaign till now.
Gimenez seems to have everything that you could look for in a striker. Also, he is just 22 years of age. Thus, he ticks a lot of boxes Real Madrid look for when signing a player and it is not hard to understand why they might be interested in him.
Any move is unlikely in January and Real Madrid are expected to wait until next summer. So let’s see how things play out and how Gimenez’s season goes. If he continues to perform like this, a number of clubs will be looking to sign him.
