Real Madrid have been chasing the signature of Kylian Mbappe for years. But do they even need him anymore? The Frenchman is a spectacular player without a doubt. But Los Blancos might already have a better one in Jude Bellingham. And if the Englishman can continue performing like this, the team needs to be built around him and no other player in the world.

Bellingham has been unstoppable at the start of the season. While it might still be a bit too early to make lofty claims, it feels like Real Madrid have another future Ballon d’Or winner on their hands.

While Bellingham continues to guide Real Madrid to one victory after another, almost on his own at times, we have seen Mbappe struggle to do the same with PSG, now that Lionel Messi and Neymar are gone. They are 5th in Ligue 1 right now and were soundly defeated by Newcastle United in the Champions League in midweek.

Bellingham scored a brace against Osasune this weekend, to follow his wondergoal against Napoli in midweek. The Englishman just seems a class apart at the moment and might very well be the best in the world on current form. He is also breaking records left, right and centre.

Bellingham breaks Ronaldo’s Real Madrid record

As reported by GOAL, Bellingham surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal contributions mark this weekend. He has now provided 13 in his first 10 appearances while the Portuguese icon had only managed 11.

What is even more impressive is the fact that Bellingham plays as a number 10. His numbers at the start of this season have stopped making sense by now.

On the other hand, there was more good news for Real Madrid, as Joselu and Vinicius Jr got on the scoresheet. Thus, it looks like Los Blancos are finding some great form right before the first El Clasico.
