Real Madrid have quite the record when it comes to developing youngsters over recent years. The likes of Vinicius Jr, Fede Valverde, Rodrygo and Eduardo Camavinga arrived as teenagers and have gone on to become first-team superstars. Technically, Jude Bellingham did the same but he was already considered amongst the best midfielders in the world. His reputation and game have certainly been enhanced drastically since the move to the Spanish capital though.

Another player who might be in a somewhat similar position to the one Bellingham was at Borussia Dortmund is Antonio Silva of Benfica. He is just 19 years of age but already a regular starter for the Portuguese giants and getting chances for the Portugal national team as well.

Unsurprisingly, Silva is considered one of the biggest talents of his generation. And that has seen him being linked with some of Europe’s top clubs including Real Madrid, Liverpool and Manchester United.

But as reported by Record (via Sport Witness), Silva isn’t ‘dazzled’ by the interest of Manchester United and Liverpool. He sees Real Madrid as the greatest club in Europe and they are interested in signing the Portuguese youngster too.

Someone like Silva would be a spectacular signing for Real Madrid. He ticks every box that Los Blancos look for when signing players.

Of course, it might not be easy to get a deal done. Silva is very highly regarded at Benfica and is believed to have a release clause of around €120 million in his current deal.

It remains to be seen if Real Madrid are willing to go close to that figure to bring the Portuguese defender to Santiago Bernabeu. That being said, Bellingham’s fee was seen as steep by many as well and it has proven to be a bargain.
