Real Madrid have a fantastic record in recent times when it comes to developing young talents from around the world and developing them into key starters for Los Blancos. They have done very well when it comes to South American wonderkids, with Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo and Federico Valverde all arriving as teenagers. And now, it looks like one of Argentine football’s biggest hopes has an eye on Santiago Bernabeu as well.

Federico Redondo already has quite the connection with Real Madrid. He is the son of Fernando Redondo, a club legend. Also, he is the nephew of Santiago Solari, the current technical director of Los Blancos.

As a result, it would make sense for the Argentine to end up in the Spanish capital. He has certainly impressed immensely in recent times and has been likened to Sergio Busquets for his style of play.

As reported by SPORT, Barcelona and Ajax have taken a step forward and asked directly about Redondo’s situation. But he is waiting for Real Madrid to position itself and go for him next season.

Redondo seems to be an exceptional midfielder in the making. He is still just 20 years of age and currently plays for Argentions Juniors.

It feels like only a matter of time before he finds himself at one of the top clubs in Europe though. He created a lot of waves at the recent U20 World Cup.

It is not hard to see the potential of Redondo and why he might be a good signing for the club. But at the same time, the competition in the Real Madrid right now is immense.

The likes of Jude Bellingham, Fede Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni, are all in their early to mid-20s. So, would someone like Redondo get enough chances to continue his development over the coming years at Real Madrid?
