Real Madrid eyeing move for ‘Next Kylian Mbappe’
Real Madrid have been linked with a move for Kylian Mbappe for years but have not managed to get a deal done for the French World Cup winner yet. The hope is that the saga will come to an end next summer, with the Frenchman leaving PSG at the end of his contract to join Los Blancos as a free agent.
At this point in time, Mbappe has not signed a new contract with PSG. It remains to be seen if things go so smoothly or whether there are still twists and turns left in this saga.
On the other hand, it looks like Real Madrid already have an eye on the future as well. And they are already being linked with a 17-year-old French youth international who has been earning comparisons with Mbappe.
As reported by Defensa Central (via The Hard Tackle), Real Madrid are interested in Eli Junior Kroupi. Juni Calafat is driving the scouting mission of the 17-year-old Lorient player.
Real Madrid eyeing move for ‘Next Mbappe’
It is not hard to understand why Kroupi is earning comparisons to Mbappe already. He has made an incredible impact for Lorient at just 17 years of age.
In 7 appearances this season, he already has 3 goals and 2 assists to his name. Kroupi is averaging a goal contribution every 67 minutes.
At 17 years of age, exceptional would be an understatement to describe that kind of productivity. He also has the ability to play on the left flank, upfront or in the number 10 role.
His numbers for the French youth international teams are pretty good as well and it looks like only a matter of time before he gets a big move elsewhere. Real Madrid have a superb record of developing youngsters in recent times. Hopefully, they will be able to sign Kroupi from Lorient.
