It is no secret that Real Madrid could do with another striker. Joselu has done a fantastic job lately and is proving a lot of people wrong, as he has shown that he can consistently find the back of the net for Los Blancos when given chances. But he is the only option that Carlo Ancelotti has right now at centre-forward.

The Italian manager has changed his formation this season, going from a 4-3-3 to a 4-4-2. But that is more out of necessity than a tactical choice. The results have been consistent though and there seems to be no need to go back at the moment.

Real Madrid have been linked with plenty of strikers lately. One of them is Santiago Gimenez of Feyenoord, who has been in spectacular form this season. Los Blancos are not the only club rumoured to be interested in him though.

Manchester United are another team who have been linked with Gimenez. The Red Devils signed Rasmus Hojlund in the summer but they have struggled for results this season and could be on the lookout for another striker.

£50 million striker tipped to join Real Madrid or Manchester United

As reported by Manchester Evening News, Willem van Hanegem said:

"“He has the qualities to play at the absolute top, in England or Spain.“It would be great if he plays for Real Madrid or Manchester United.”"

Gimenez has been fantastic at the start of the season. He played a big part in Feyenoord’s Eredivisie triumph in the previous campaign, but he seems to have taken his game a level further this time around and is scoring for fun right now.

As a result, it is not hard to see why teams like Manchester United, Real Madrid and plenty of others have been linked with him in recent times. Now, it remains to be seen if any of them end up signing him. It is believed that it could take a transfer fee north of £50 million for Feyenoord to part ways with their star striker.
