Real Madrid could do with some more options. They have done a fantastic job with the players that they have till now but that does not mean that that will continue throughout the course of the campaign. Fans with a keen memory will remember that the club had made a fantastic start last season as well only to fade away as injuries and fatigue took their toll on a paper-thin squad.

Let’s see how this season turns out. But no matter what happens, it is very clear that the club need to strengthen their squad if they want sustainable success at the highest level.

Real Madrid could certainly do with another forward. Karim Benzema left at the end of last season and while Joselu has done a fantastic job since coming in, he is not a long-term solution. Also, we are yet to see how he performs against top-level opposition.

One player who certainly is flourishing this season is Julian Alvarez. And Real Madrid have been urged to make a move for the Manchester City forward, who looks to be a superstar in the making.

Real Madrid told to sign £14 million Manchester City player

As reported by Bernabeu Digital, Jorge D’Alessandro, legendary Argentine goalkeeper, has spoken about this in TyC Sports:

"“I recommended Julián Álvarez for both Real Madrid and Barcelona. I think he is eclipsing Haaland. He is totally eclipsing him.”"

Alvarez has been fantastic this season. In fact, one could argue that he is outperforming Erling Haaland at the moment. The Argentine was signed by Manchester City from River Plate for a transfer fee believed to be around £14 million.

Real Madrid have been previously linked with a move for Alvarez. But at that point in time, he was struggling for game time at Manchester City. Right now, he is a regular in Pep Guardiola’s side and there is very little incentive for him to leave the Treble winners.

That being said, Real Madrid have a special aura. And if they do go calling for Alvarez, it would be interesting to see if a move is possible or not.
