Real Madrid have been linked with some high-profile signings in recent times as it is clear that the Spanish giants need to make reinforcements all across the pitch. One area where they seem to be particular is forward. Karim Benzema left at the end of last season and the club have not really gone out and brought in a like-for-like replacement.

To be fair to Joselu, he has done a very good job whenever given a chance by Carlo Ancelotti. But he is 33 years of age and on loan from Espanyol. Also, it feels like the Italian manager does not completely trust him to deliver in the big games yet, which is why he has been left out of the starting XI so often.

Hopefully, Real Madrid will make a long-term addition upfront in the not-too-distant future. Erling Haaland is someone they have been constantly linked with. But it is his Manchester City teammate, Julian Alvarez, who has been in the headlines more often this season.

As reported by Defensa Central (via The Hard Tackle), Real Madrid are keen on signing Alvarez. The 23-year-old is ready to join the Spanish club.

Alvarez is quickly emerging as a superstar at Manchester City. He has been fantastic this season and has established himself as a starter in Pep Guardiola’s side.

Many people even believe that he is outperforming Haaland at the moment. So, it is not hard to understand why Real Madrid might be interested in signing him.

If the suggestion that he is ready to join Real Madrid is accurate, then it is great news for Los Blancos. But at the same time, gettting a deal done with Manchester City would be very difficult, as they surely would not be keen on parting ways with Alvarez.
