Newcastle United ready €20 million offer for Real Madrid player

Newcastle United find themselves in a difficult situation right now. Sandro Tonali is facing a ban and could be suspended for the next 12-18 months. It is just this summer that the Magpies signed him from AC Milan and as a result, they will need to find a replacement for the Italian international. And it looks like they have set their sights on a Real Madrid player.

Real Madrid have arguably the strongest midfield in all of Europe. That also means that there are quite a few who are not getting enough chances at the moment.

Dani Ceballos is one of them. The Spaniard was very impressive last season and got himself a long-term contract extension as a result. But he finds himself back on the bench and has only been used as a substitute in the games that he has been available.

One has to point out his fitness issues as well, which have kept him out on the sidelines. That has not reduced interest in his signature though.

As reported by Fichajes, reports indicate that Newcastle United would be willing to make an offer of €20 million to sign Ceballos in January. Their interest in the Spaniard comes at a time of uncertainty regarding Tonali.

Ceballos is not the only midfielder whose future at Real Madrid is in doubt right now. Luka Modric has lost his status as a regular starter and there are suggestions that he could consider leaving in January if the situation does not improve.

It remains to be seen if Ceballos leaves Real Madrid in the near future. He needs to be fit for an extended length of time in order to properly judge his place in the squad. He had returned from an injury only recently and is now injured again.
