Real Madrid continued their perfect start in the Champions League with a 2-1 away win against SC Braga. Rodrygo opened the scoring for Los Blancos, finally ending his barren run in front of goal. His last strike had come in the very first league game of the campaign, against Athletic Bilbao. The other scorer was Jude Bellingham, who has been finding the back of the net for fun.

The impact that Bellingham has made since arriving in the summer from Borussia Dortmund has been nothing short of extraordinary. He has exceeded the expectations of even the most optimistic of fans.

Bellingham’s output in the Royal White jersey has been outstanding. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 11 goals and provided 3 assists in 12 appearances for the club this season so far.

Naturally, Real Madrid fans were left worried when Bellingham left the pitch against SC Braga in the 89th minute with what looked like physical issues. But fortunately, it looks like there is nothing to be concerned about.

As reported by AS, Carlo Ancelotti said in the post-match press conference:

"“Jude Bellingham is fine.“His adductor is a bit overloaded due to the state of the pitch, which was a bit soft. It’s nothing special. He’ll be fine, he’s fit. He’s a bit tired but it’s normal.”"

That will be music to the ears of Real Madrid fans. The club need Bellingham to be fit if they are to achieve important things this season.

This would have been the worst time for him to get injured as well. Real Madrid will be taking on FC Barcelona at the weekend in the first El Clasico of the season.

The two teams find themselves competing for the La Liga title once again. At this moment, there is just one point separating the two teams. So, it is not hard to see how important the upcoming El Clasico is.

Of course, two more teams cannot be overlooked in the title race at this moment. Girona sit 2nd, only behind Real Madrid on goal difference. And if Atletico Madrid win their game in hand, they will go top of the table.
