Real Madrid are building their squad for years to come and are in a transitional phase at the moment. The team is filled with world-class talent all over the pitch. One of the last missing pieces to the puzzle though is up front. Karim Benzema left at the end of last season and has not really been replaced for the long term.

The wingers of the future are set with Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo. But ever since Benzema’s departure, there has been debate about who will partner them up top for years to come. Could it be one of their Brazilian international teammates?

Names mentioned as Real Madrid’s potential striker targets include the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez among others. Many of the same names have been linked with the club over the past year or so.

However, another name has recently popped up in the rumour mill that may intrigue fans. As reported by AS, in the past Gabriel Jesus was linked to Real Madrid and Barcelona and they continue to follow his evolution closely.

Jesus has not been linked with a move to Real Madrid lately. It has been rumoured that Carlo Ancelotti was keen on a move for the Brazilian international last summer however a move did not materialise, and he made the switch from Manchester City to Arsenal instead.

The Brazilian has endured a somewhat rocky time at Arsenal so far. Injury issues have sidelined the striker on a number of occasions and he has never seemed to find his consistent goal-scoring form. Jesus has scored just one goal in the Premier League this season so far. But he has found the back of the net three times in as many games in the Champions League.

Arsenal were believed to have signed Jesus for a transfer fee of around €50 million just last summer and would no doubt look for a similar figure to let him go, if not more. It remains to be seen if Real Madrid end up making a move for the Brazilian international striker.
