Feyenoord set asking price for Real Madrid transfer target
After the departure of Karim Benzema in the summer, Real Madrid have been in search of their next long-term number 9 to lead the forward line. The legendary Frenchman was a key player for Los Blancos for the last 14 seasons and replacing a player of his quality could prove to be a difficult task, even for the Spanish giants.
Names like Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland have long been linked with potential moves to Real Madrid and that is very understandable. Other names mentioned with a potential move include the likes of Julian Alvarez and Victor Osimhen among others.
A new name that has been garnering interest from top clubs across Europe is that of Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez. The 22-year-old has had a tremendous start to the season and unsurprisingly, he is being linked with a move away from the Dutch club.
As reported by 90min, interested clubs will have to shell out an Eredivisie-record transfer fee to Gimenez. That currently stands at the £87 million (€100 million) fee paid by Manchester United to Ajax for Antony.

Gimenez made a great start in Europe last season after his move from Cruz Azul to Feyenoord. And he has picked up right where he left off. In fact, he has taken things a few levels up. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has registered 15 goals and 3 assists in just 11 appearances so far in this campaign.
Understandably, Gimenez’s performances have caught the attention of top clubs across Europe. Clubs like Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Real Madrid have all been linked with the Mexican international.
It remains to be seen if Real Madrid make a serious move for Gimenez or not. The club have high hopes for Palmeiras youngster Endrick as well, once he completes his move to Spain next summer.
