There is clearly a need of reinforcements up top at Real Madrid. The sheer brilliance of Jude Bellingham has meant that they have made a great start to the campaign but that does not mean that the club should overlook the things that are not going their way at the moment. Neither Vinicius Junior nor Rodrygo look at their best in the more central roles in the new 4-4-2 system.

Joselu has done well and made a difference whenever given the chance. But at 33 years of age, he is not the long-term solution up top. And despite his good performances, Carlo Ancelotti has continued to leave the Spaniard out of the starting XI in the big games.

Sooner or later, the club will need to make long-term additions up top. Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland are two high-profile names they have been constantly linked with in recent times.

Most Real Madrid fans will be happy if the club are able to sign one of the two. But it looks like Los Blancos are hoping to bring both to Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid plan to sign both Haaland and Mbappe

As reported by El Chiringuito (via 90min), Real Madrid are planning to sign both Mbappe and Haaland. They want to sign the Frenchman on a free transfer when his Paris Saint-Germain contract runs out and the Norwegian by meeting the release clause in his deal with Manchester City.

It would be remarkable if Real Madrid are able to sign both Haaland and Mbappe. They are arguably going to be the two best players in the world for the next decade to come. Of course, one has to start considering Bellingham in that category as well.

It remains to be seen how things play out. Signing even one of the two would be difficult, but one can never count out the aura of Real Madrid.
