This season has been one filled with change for Real Madrid and yet, they have continued to enjoy success on the pitch. Los Blancos have lost just one game in this campaign so far and recently got a 2-1 victory over FC Barcelona. The club deserve a lot of credit for that. It is not simple for a young team to continuously win games. Just ask Chelsea.

The transitional phase has also meant that several established veteran stars have seen their game time decrease. Toni Kroos is among them.

Kroos had been a nailed-on starter for Real Madrid for years. But right now, he does seem to be behind the likes of Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga, Fede Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni in the midfield pecking order.

Kroos signed a one-year extension with Real Madrid to continue at Santiago Bernabeu this season. And while there has been speculation that he could retire after this campaign, it looks like a move to the Premier League in the future is not out of the question either.

Real Madrid superstar could join Manchester United

As reported by The Sun, Kroos is sounding out the possibility of finishing his career in England if he fails to get himself a contract extension at Real Madrid. The German midfielder’s representatives will sound out Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and both Manchester clubs.

Kroos has enjoyed a lot of success in both Germany and Spain. Now, could he make the move to England and take on a different challenge in the twilight of his career? Time shall tell.

Clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea could certainly do with someone like Kroos at the moment. They are struggling badly this season and need a player with the German’s experience in the midfield, not just for what he brings on the pitch but off it too.
