Real Madrid ready to let €50 million player go in January
Real Madrid do not have much depth in several positions across the pitch. Despite that, it looks like the club are open to the idea of quite a few of their current players heading for the exit door as they continue to reshape the squad with the future in mind. One position that could undergo some changes in the coming months is left-back.
The club find themselves in a situation where Eduardo Camavinga might be the best left-back they have. Even though he clearly prefers to play in the middle of the park.
Fran Garcia was signed in the summer and enjoyed a starting role early on in the season. But he was not able to impress enough and finds himself on the bench now. On the other hand, Ferland Mendy continues to struggle with fitness issues. As a result, it might be only a matter of time before the Frenchman is shown the exit door.
As reported by Relevo (via SPORT), Real Madrid will make Mendy back available for transfer as soon as the winter transfer window opens. They consider this as the ideal time to part ways with him and will do everything possible to convince the Frenchman if an interesting offer comes in for him.

Mendy has played a major part in Real Madrid’s successes in the past. While there have always been question marks about his game going forward, he is considered amongst the best in the world as a defensive full-back.
That being said, Mendy has barely been on the pitch over the past couple of seasons, dealing with one injury problem after another. Also, he is 28 and has less than two years left on his deal.
Thus, it is not hard to see why Real Madrid might be looking to part ways with him. Especially with there believed to be interest in signing Alphonso Davies.
