Real Madrid might be the biggest club in the world but at the same time, one cannot deny that the Premier League is the most attractive competition in the world for players right now. And with the financial strength of English clubs only growing, the likes of Los Blancos and FC Barcelona often struggle to compete with them in transfer races.
Despite that, if there is one club that most people believe to be Kylian Mbappe’s next destination, it is Real Madrid. Or that was the case until a couple of days ago when some rumours broke out that Los Blancos had decided not to pursue a move for the French World Cup winner.
It remains to be seen how accurate that turns out to be. On the other hand, it looks like several Premier League clubs are in the race for Mbappe’s signature as well.
As reported by TEAMtalk, Real Madrid could face competition from up to four Premier League sides in the race to sign Mbappe. Manchester City, Newcastle United, Chelsea and Liverpool are all interested in the French superstar.
Chelsea and Manchester City join race for world-class Real Madrid target
Liverpool have been linked with a move for Mbappe for quite some time. But the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle United have now popped up in the race as well.
Out of those four Premier League sides, Manchester City and Liverpool would be the more likely destinations for someone like Mbappe. Chelsea are a big club as well but they have been struggling over the past couple of years and might not be able to make the Champions League once again. As for Newcastle United, it might just be too ambitious a deal at this point.
At this point, Real Madrid still feels like Mbappe’s most likely destination if he does leave PSG next summer. Let’s see what the future holds.
