Real Madrid have assembled one of the best young squads across all of Europe. With players like Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga and more all in their early 20s as well as players like Arda Guler who is still only just 18 and Endrick yet to arrive, the club have their core ready for more than a decade to come.

The one position in the team where they lack a long-term option is centre-forward. After the departure of Karim Benzema, there have been a lot of questions about who will fill that role for years to come.

There have been many world-class centre-forwards linked with Real Madrid in the past, most notably the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland. However, the club may possibly look to go in a different direction as well.

As reported by ge.globo, Marcos Leonardo, a standout from Santos, has entered Real Madrid’s radar. Los Blancos consulted the athlete’s agents in search of information about the youngster. For now, there is no formalization of a proposal.

Leonardo is most likely a player the majority of Real Madrid fans are not very familiar with but could be very soon. The 20-year-old is currently the fourth-highest scorer in the Brazilian Serie A with 13 goals to his name and is the star man for Santos, who are relying heavily on the youngster to avoid relegation.

Real Madrid could potentially face competition for Leonardo’s signature from the likes of Newcastle United and AS Roma. It is believed that the Italian club were very close to signing the Brazilian striker last summer.

A potential Brazilian trio of Vinicius, Leonardo and Rodrygo up front may be something very exciting at Real Madrid for years to come. Let’s see if it becomes a reality.
