Real Madrid’s injury nightmare shows no signs of ending anytime soon. The club already have two key starters out for the foreseeable future in the form of Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao. Both have torn ACLs. Arda Guler has not even been able to make his debut since arriving in the summer, as he continues to struggle with fitness issues. Aurelien Tchouameni is out at the moment and it looks like a fellow French international will be joining him on the sidelines.

Eduardo Camavinga suffered a knock while away with the French national team. Initially, it was not thought to be serious and there were even suggestions that he would rejoin training the following day.

But now, there appears to be a twist in the tale. Camavinga’s injury seems to be more serious than first believed.

As reported by AS, after a second examination, it was decided that Camavinga would leave the French national team camp and return to Spain. There he will undergo more tests that will clarify the diagnosis and extent of the injury. He could be out for eight weeks.

Real Madrid could be out for two months as injury serious

That is the last thing that Real Madrid needed to hear at this point in time. This is starting to feel like last season.

The club had made a fantastic start to the 2022/23 campaign but their form faded away as injuries and fatigue started to take its toll on the squad. With so many key players out and not much depth to rely on, one would not be surprised if the same thing happens once again.

One can only hope that Camavinga’s injury does not keep him out for as long as is being expected. We wish him luck and hope to see him back on the pitch soon.
