Real Madrid continue to reshape their squad, as they build one of the most exciting teams in Europe, not just for now but for years to come. The club already have players like Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr, Eduardo Camavinga and a few others, who could potentially be future Ballon d’Or winners.

But Los Blancos never stop looking for the next big thing. On the other hand, there are quite a few players who might be heading for the exit door soon enough.

Ferland Mendy is someone whose future at Real Madrid is in major doubt. The Frenchman was a key part of the team a few years back. But he has struggled to remain fit for any considerable length of time over the past couple of seasons.

He is also in the final two years of his contract. And Real Madrid handing him an extension feels very likely at this point in time. So, keep an eye out for Mendy’s future.

As reported by The Athletic, Real Madrid’s main plan next summer is to sign Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies. They will also look to part ways with Mendy.

There were rumours that the club were open to the idea of Mendy leaving in the recent summer transfer window. Real Madrid signed Fran Garcia from Rayo Vallecano. On the other hand, the likes of Camavinga and David Alaba can play at left-back if the situation calls for it.

There have been some rumours in recent weeks that the club would look for a transfer fee in the region of €50 million to part ways with Mendy. To be honest, it is hard to see that kind of an offer arriving for a player with his injury problems and he is not a ‘superstar’ name either.
