Karim Benzema left Real Madrid a bit earlier than expected. Most had thought that he would stay on for another season by signing a one-year extension. Instead, the Frenchman decided to bring an end to his glorious career at the Santiago Bernabeu and head for Al-Ittihad. Los Blancos are yet to find his long-term successor.

Joselu was brought in on a season-long loan from Espanyol. The Spaniard has impressed whenever given a chance and deserves more minutes than he is getting to be very honest.

At the same time, most people recognise that he is not the long-term solution to Real Madrid’s problems. Joselu is 33 years of age and while he might be in the form of his life, Father Time is undefeated.

Thus, Real Madrid will need to sign a striker soon who can lead the line for years to come. They have been linked with a number of high-profile names and it looks like they are continuing to follow one player despite his struggles in recent seasons.

Real Madrid still interested in signing €80 million striker

As reported by Tutto Juve, Real Madrid is continuously looking for a striker. Dusan Vlahovic still remains on the list of possible names.

Juventus were believed to have signed Vlahovic for a transfer fee of around €80 million from Fiorentina. He was one of the best young strikers in the world during his time in Florence but his stint in Turin has been underwhelming so far.

Overall, he has been decent. But Vlahovic has come nowhere near matching the expectations he had set for himself at Fiorentina. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 27 goals in 73 appearances for Juventus till now.

Just for comparison, he had scored 20 goals in just the first half of the 2021-22 season for Fiorentina before moving to Juventus. Yet, Real Madrid remain interested in Vlahovic.
