Chelsea and Manchester United eye €100 million Real Madrid target

Real Madrid have been linked with a number of world-class players in recent times. At the same time, the club have been pretty careful when making signings in recent years. They have not splashed out and have been pretty smart with the additions they have made, most of them proving to be success stories at Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid need to find a long-term successor to replace Karim Benzema and the club have been linked with Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian international’s future at Napoli is up in the air after recent events.

Osimhen is not the only Napoli superstar on Real Madrid’s radar. The other one is Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. There is a lot of interest in the Georgian’s signature though.

As reported by 90min, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Newcastle United all had representatives present to watch Kvaratskhelia in action during Georgia’s game with Spain. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and PSG have all been keeping an eye on the Napoli player.

Kvaratskhelia managed to find the back of the net against Spain. But Georgia did end up losing the game 3-1 to the 2010 World Champions.

Kvaratskhelia enjoyed a meteoric rise after joining Napoli in the summer of 2022. He played a key part in the club winning their first Serie A title since Diego Maradona’s time in Naples.

Kvaratskhelia has made a solid start this season as well. As reported by Transfermarkt, he has scored 3 goals and provided 5 assists in 15 appearances.

Real Madrid had the chance to see Kvaratskhelia in action up close, as they met Napoli in the Champions League. The two will meet again about a week from now.

It is unlikely that Napoli would be open to the idea of Kvaratskhelia leaving if Osimhen does leave next summer though. Let’s see how things play out.
