The Barcelona midfielder has been ruled out for the rest of the season. That is a major blow for Xavi’s side without a doubt, as Gavi is an important part of their plans.

As reported by ESPN, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has sent Gavi a letter wishing him well. The midfielder has been offered Los Blancos’ full support.

It is always sad to see a player get injured, whether they are on the Real Madrid team or the opposition. We can only wish Gavi the best of luck in his recovery and wish to see him back on the pitch as soon as possible.

Barcelona will certainly feel Gavi’s absence in the middle of the park. He is an excellent player and one with an important role in the Catalan giants’ team. Now, it remains to be seen how they deal without the Spaniard.
